WHITBURN FAIRTRADE EVENT SUCCESS

A Whitburn Fairtrade event held on 25 October 2008 was a great sucess and raised £575, which is being donated to "Flush Out Poverty", which is an organisation which supplies clean water and sanitation in 3rd world countries.

Whitburn already has one School, Croftmalloch Primary, who have achieved Fairtrade status and the other schools in the town are working towards this.

Whitburn also has 4 Fairtrade Churches - St Joseph's, Brucefield, South Church and Pentecostal Church
