On Saturday Michael attended the Whitburn Gala Day – he said “It was a fantastic turnout despite the cold – and it was a great honour to be Presented to the Queen – the organisers deserve great credit for they work they put in behind the scenes”

On Sunday 28th - at the Blackridge, Westrigg & Westcraigs Children's 2009 Gala Centenary – Michael said “I’m always amazed by the fantastic effort in the fancy dress competition – the fact that so many contestants make their own costumes is just super”
