MICHAEL SAYS WELL DONE TO LINLITHGOW SCHOOLS

Children from Linlithgow schools receive a boost from Tesco

Children from Linlithgow schools received a boost on Friday September 23rd when they were presented with bagfuls of educational materials at Tesco's store in Linlithgow by their MP, Michael Connarty.

Linlithgow Primary took part in Tesco’s Community Champions scheme and pupils were rewarded with learning materials provided by the supermarket chain. Under the scheme, Tesco, through its ‘community champion’ helps schools with projects like environmental clear ups or fund raising for local or national good causes. Children taking part receive individual prizes and equipment for their school.

Michael Connarty said, “It’s a pleasure to praise these youngsters. They have put something into the community and learned about good causes. It’s great to reward them and also see their schools benefit from their efforts.”

The picture at Linlithgow Tesco shows Michael Connarty with Tesco Community Champion, Marion Fleming, Store Manager, Maureen Gallagher and Steven Eagleson, Deputy head Teacher of Linlithgow Primary with members of his staff.
