MICHAEL SAYS WELL DONE TO BATHGATE AND TORPHICHEN SCHOOLS

Children from Bathgate and Torphichen schools receive a boost from Tesco

Children from Bathgate and Torphichen schools received a boost on Friday September 23rd when they were presented with bagfuls of educational materials at Tesco’s stores Bathgate by their MP, Michael Connarty.

Torphichen Primary and St Mary’s Primary took part in Tesco’s Community Champions scheme and were rewarded with learning materials provided by the supermarket chain. Under the scheme, Tesco, through its ‘community champion’ helps schools with projects like environmental clear ups or fund raising for local or national good causes. Children taking part receive individual prizes and equipment for their school.

Michael Connarty said, “It’s a pleasure to praise these youngsters. They have put something into the community and learned about good causes. It’s great to reward them and also see their schools benefit from their efforts.”
