The students and nurses I met today were keen and committed to delivering an excellent health service for the twenty-first century It is essential that nursing and nurses are given the support and recognition that they deserve.”
Student nurses came with Janet Davies, Executive Director of Nursing for the RCN, from all parts of the UK, including Scotland where the RCN has 23,000 members. Michael discussed why the shift to Nursing as an all graduate profession is so important to nursing students and pledged his support to the RCN’s manifesto for the forthcoming general election ‘Nursing Counts’ campaign .
