Michael Connarty
Labour Member of UK Parliament - Linlithgow and East Falkirk Constituency
Whitburn MP Michael Connarty attended their annual Gala Day parade and festivities on Saturday June 26th. Blessed with an excellent day the residents of Whitburn attended in their thousands prompting many locals to comment that it was the busiest Gala Day ever. Michael enjoyed meeting many of his Constituents during the day and was asked to judge the decorated float contest (see attached image).
Commenting on his day at Whitburn Michael Said "One of the great pleasures of being an MP is getting invited to traditional Gala Days in the early Summer Months. Committed volunteers work all year round to stage these events and I pay tribute to all those involved in the organisation of Whitburns Gala Day festivities.I particularly enjoyed judging the decorated floats which are a big part of all Gala Day parades. The standard of entries were excellent and were thoroughly appriceated by the large crowds lining the streets of Whitburn."
