LOCAL MP WELCOMES LOTTERY FUNDING

Linlithgow MP Michael Connarty was delighted to hear of the Big Lottery Award given to West Lothian Clarion Cycling Club.

Michael Connarty MP was delighted when he heard the bid submitted by West Lothian Clarion Cycling Club to the Big Lottery 2014 Communities Programme had been successfull.

The award of £1000 will enable this well run club to purchase an all weather pagoda, cycle leader training and two spare bikes.The club received this funding as they hope to run weekly childrens training sessions which is exactly the aim of the big lotterys 2014 communities project to encourage more people to take part in sport and physical activity.

Michael said "This is good news for West Lothian Clarion Cycling Club. My Wife Margaret and I are both keen leisure cyclists and on weekends I find there is no better antidote to the pressures of Westminster than cycling along the Union Canal towpath( as you can see from the picture attached to this story )I hope local families will encourage their Children to get involved in West Lothian Clarion Cycling Club and start to enjoy the health and well being cycling promotes"
