Linlithgow Trains Forum

Connarty urges Linlithgow Train users to speak out. Linlithgow MP Michael Connarty is urging local train users to have their say about Linlithgow’s train services at an open meeting in September.

Scotrail managers will be coming to the West Port Hotel on 10th September to listen to the view of local residents.

Michael Said: “train services to Linlithgow can be very good at peak times – but can be lacking later at night and weekends. I also worry about the long term plans to create a bullet train between Glasgow and Edinburgh that would miss out Linlithgow, Polmont and Falkirk High. This is a great opportunity for towns people to have their say”.

Michael Connarty MP also welcomed the news this week that late night trains will be running to Linlithgow during the Edinburgh Festival. He said “this is great news - both for people wanting to go to the Fringe but also local hotels and B&Bs to attract tourists to stay locally and enjoy the festivals”.
