Grangemouth 'Big Fit' walk

Michael Connarty MP met with staff and enthusisasts from the Grangemouth Sports Centre after they had taken part in the 'Big Fit Walk' on Friday.

Michael does all he can to encourage active health in his Constituency including joining the "Get Fit" team, a group of local residents who take part in the "Get Fit" programme at the Grangemouth Sports Centre on the 2009 Big Fit Walk.

Michael said: "It was great to see so many people, young and not so young out walking to underline the importance of walking for health and fitness. The team I was with from the Health and Fitness programme at Grangemouth Sports Centre are clearly benefiting from the programme they take part in. I had to ‘step it out’ to keep up with them. I was on the first Big Fit walk 6 years ago and it is still great fun”
