Michael Connarty
Labour Member of UK Parliament - Linlithgow and East Falkirk Constituency
Since the launch of the campaign Halifax Bank
of Scotland customers have been reunited with more than £18 million of
their dormant funds. This leaves £29.2 million still to be reunited.
83% of accounts left to be reunited hold less than £100. Michael said, “In my constituency of Linlithgow and East
Falkirk, there are 83 such dormant accounts remaining to be reunited
with their owners. The total balance in these accounts is £9,428, which
works out at an average of £114 of unclaimed funds per account”. Michael added “I urge people to check if they have unclaimed
dormant funds by looking up www.halifaxlocateaccounts.co.uk or
www.boslocateaccounts.co.uk or the BBA at www.mylostaccount.org.uk if
they have had a Halifax or Bank of Scotland account in the past.
