Again and again issues and policy areas are brought to me as an MP that affect more than one constituent, or more than just local people.

I have always taken the position that the people I represent would want me to get involved in activities that are wider than the local area, particularly if I can oppose some injustice or advocate for some positive outcome.

I hope constituents agree with my view that they demonstrate that an MP must try to improve things and can do so without having to be a Minister or even belong to the party of Government.
